Hello, I'm Alexis!
I'm a Master's student in the Brian Lamb School of Communication at Purdue University, specializing in Health and Interpersonal Communication. My research explores stigma, identity, and disclosure, core themes guiding my thesis work, which I expect to complete in May 2026.
As an instructor, I’m passionate about helping students communicate with clarity and confidence across contexts. I currently teach courses in intercultural and presentational communication, where we focus on how culture, identity, and audience shape the ways we speak, listen, and connect.

What Drives Me
A passion for stigmatized populations that are underserved by society due to cultural/societal norms that policy changes and advocacy can address.
